SUMMARY:Airplay
DESCRIPTION:If you want to see how America works\, look at what happened
to rock radio. For 50 years\, it was our revolutionary medium. Radio had
the power to move people then. And deejays seized it. In the 1950s\, a h
andful of AM pioneers introduced white America to black rhythm and blue
 s. Then New York deejay Alan Freed changed the course of American histor
y by branding it 'rock and roll.' In the glory years of rock radio\, pe
rsonalities like Cousin Brucie\, Murray the K\, Dan Ingram\, Jerry Blava
t\, Dick Biondi\, Casey Kasem and Wolfman Jack ruled the airwaves. But fr
om its earliest roots\, rock radio had powerful enemies. In 1960\, prodd
ed by big-business interests\, Congress held 'payola' hearings to target
the deejays guilty of breaking down economic and racial barriers. Deej
ays like Alan Freed were booted off the air. Program director and radio
consultants took control. Deejays could no longer play their own music.
Rock radio became bland and predictable. Then came a new wave of deejay
s who set up shop on the FM dial. 'Top 40 is dead\,' Declared Tom Dona
hue in San Francisco. 'And its rotting corpse is stinking up the airwave
s.' They discovered bands like the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane
\, igniting a cultural revolution that helped end the Vietnam War. Until
FM\, too\, was silenced by FCC intimidation and corporate greed. And 60
s rock became 70s disco. When rock radio lost its soul\, a flame went out
. 'Airplay' pays tribute to those unsung heroes--and the promise of a re
birth on satellite radio. It's a story of love and war\, told by the dee
jays and the artists they made rock stars. It celebrates a time when we
all listened together and it changed our lives.

SUMMARY:Dance of the Dead

eat anxiety what with making sure you have the right dress or tux and th
e right date\, or if you have to worry about an oncoming zombie invasion
. That’s the problem that faces the students in Dance of the Dead as the
dead rise on prom night hungry for human flesh\, and only the losers wh
o couldn’t get dates are left as the town’s only defense against the zom
bie horde. Filmed in Rome\, Georgia with many local cast and crew the fi
lm delivers on the zombie drama with a lot of humor\, a lot of style\, a
 nd\, yes\, a lot of blood.

SUMMARY:Skiptracers
DESCRIPTION:Like their home state of Alabama\, the Trawicks are slam - fu
 ll of oddities\, idiocy\, contradictions\, traditions\, and rednecks. JD
is a color-blind desperado who enjoys the company of geriatrics and har
bors dreams of something more?like bombing shit. His brother Tucker has
a large penis and enjoys fighting\, doing whip-its\, and failing out of
Lurleen B. Wallace Community College. He harbors dreams of fighting\, do
ing whip-its\, and banging Lurleen B. Wallace. Big Donald is their fathe
r\, a redneck Magnum P.I.\, who probably abused JD and Tucker when they
were too little to kick his ass\, but in a funny way. Nanny is the matri
arch\, a schizophrenic former bootlegger and rumrunner turned born-again
Christian who is an angel on the ground but a demon behind the wheel. T
ogether - but often at odds with one another - they turn the South upsid
e-down in their pursuit of bail-jumping misfits\, such as Rusty McAndrew
s\, a diabetic and diabolical welder with a penchant for dangerous women
and crack. But skiptracing is the business that pays the bills while th
ey engage in their real passion: coaching their dynastic peewee football
team\, the Bombers\, to Pop Warner Valhalla. In pursuit of McAndrews an
d the city championship\, JD and company are opposed by the dastardly Cl
etus Yoates and his henchman Bart\, who will stop at nothing to destroy
the Trawick family\, business\, and football legacy. Along the way\, the
Trawicks discover the hidden and absurd underbelly of the South - and p
 unch it.
